Located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Luray, Virginia, our family farm operations began in the 1950’s. We started growing trees in the 1990’s and pumpkins in 2000. Today we have over 20 acres devoted to beautifully hand sheared Christmas Trees.
As you prepare for the upcoming holiday season, why not spend a day in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley? Enjoy the beautiful countryside as you search for the “perfect” Christmas Tree. The crisp air and the magnificent views of the Blue Ridge Mountains will make your search unforgettable. Bring the entire family, stroll through acres of different varieties of trees and make a memory to last a lifetime!
You can “choose and cut” from six different varieties of Christmas trees including; White Pine, Scotch Pine, Norway Spruce, Colorado Blue Spruce, Concolor Fir, and Douglas Fir. And, if you don’t want to venture into the fields, we have fresh cut trees available, including Fraser Fir. We also have a farm devoted to raising taller trees. If you need a taller tree, call ahead to place an order.
Our “pumpkin patch” is located just minutes from downtown Luray and the beautiful Luray Caverns as well as Skyline Drive.
Bring the whole family and spend some unforgettable quality time in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. Stroll through pumpkins while you enjoy the magnificent scenery that only our beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains can offer in the fall season. As you enjoy the fall colors, let us help you choose from a variety of colorful pumpkins, gourds, mums and other decorating items such as corn shocks, decorative corn, and straw bales.
Our Corn Maze is not be one to get lost in, but rather a maze where you will search and find things. The maze is designed with children in mind as an educational experience. The maze contains six farm animals which children will need to identify to solve the puzzle of the maze. Each farm board will contain fun facts about farm animals.
The farm features a hay tunnel, picnic area, duck race, sand box, bean bag toss, and brain teasers which are sure to stump even the brightest of people. Don’t forget to try your skills at Boot Golf.
Admission to Maze Area and Playland is $5.00 per person. You can stay as long as you like. There is no admission charge to visit and shop at the Pumpkin Patch.
The Pumpkin Patch offers a large selection of pumpkins in many shapes, sizes and colors. We grow all of them ourselves. They range from as small as two pounds to as large as 100 pounds! Round, flat, white, green, tan, as well as the traditional orange pumpkins are available. Our pumpkins are great for cooking, carving, painting and of course decorating.
Accessorize your pumpkin display with a straw bale, corn shocks, fall mums, and a full array of decorative gourds of all shapes and sizes. Swan, apple, angel wing, egg, birdhouse, and caveman clubs are among the most requested varieties. If you like gourd crafts, come out on one of our “craft weekends”, you will learn to make decorations that can last for years.
While choosing your decorations, don’t forget to pick up some of our fresh Virginia Apples which come from nearby orchards. Taste the different varieties and choose the ones you like best. Also, fresh honey and homemade apple butter made right here in our Valley are also available.
And finally, don’t forget to enjoy the “life-sized” scarecrows located in and around the pumpkin patch. We make these “guys” yearly.
OH.. and on occasion, don’t be alarmed if one happens to talk back to you, or offer to walk with you in the Corn Maze!
Each year at the Pumpkin Patch, we encourage schools to bring their students for a visit.
Teachers, children, and adults learn about the pumpkin and gourd growing process. We also explore the history unique facts about pumpkins and gourds– their many uses– what is edible and what is not. Fun facts about Halloween are also shared.
This “hands on” tour lesson is approximately 20 minutes long and includes entry to the pumpkin patch, the Corn Maze and Playland. The maze is an educational experience for children and adults. Everyone will learn facts about corn and farm animals as they search for clues to solve the puzzle of the maze. Cost is $5.00 per child. At the conclusion of the lesson, students get to choose a small pumpkin and a decorative gourd to take home
